Job Title: Commissioning Engineer (National Grid TP141 Authorisation)
Location: Nationwide (Projects based across England & Scotland)
Start Date: Mid February 2025

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with National Grid TP141 Authorisation to join our team. The role involves the commissioning of diesel generators across SSE and National Grid sites throughout England and Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer looking to contribute to high-profile power projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Commissioning of Diesel Generators:
- Lead and support the commissioning process for diesel generators on SSE and National Grid sites.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant standards and safety regulations.
- Perform testing and fault diagnosis on power generation equipment.
- Prepare and review commissioning documentation, including test reports and certificates.
Collaboration with Site Teams:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project timelines are met.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and offer troubleshooting support.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all site-specific health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
- Ensure safe working practices are maintained throughout the commissioning process.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Document commissioning activities and report progress to management.
- Ensure all relevant data is accurately logged and signed off as per client requirements.
Customer Liaison:
- Liaise with clients, including SSE and National Grid, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Address any client concerns promptly and professionally.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- National Grid TP141 Authorisation (Essential).
- Proven experience in commissioning diesel generators, preferably in power generation projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and controls associated with diesel generators.
- Familiarity with commissioning procedures and industry standards.
- Experience working on SSE and National Grid sites (advantageous).
