We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join a growing engineering business. The successful candidate will play a key role in programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist to contribute to our growing operations.

39 Hours per week (Mornings/Afternoon shift rotation)

  • 06.30-15:00 Mon-Thur, 06.30-14:00 Fri,
  • 14.30pm-23:00 Mon-Thur, 13:00-20:30 Fri

Overtime is paid at 1.5 x total rate on both basic + bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure production accuracy.
  • Perform quality checks on machined parts using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain and service CNC machines, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller in a precision engineering environment.
  • Proficient in programming CNC machines
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications, e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent.
