CNC Sliding Head (Star) Swiss-type Automatic Lathe Programmer Setter Operator

We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer Setter Operator experienced in working with Fanuc control, live tooling, and multi-axis lathes, In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating multi-axis CNC lathes, utilising your expertise to produce complex and high-precision components. We work within the the medical, aerospace, and various other industries.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and prepare CNC turning machines for operation, ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and materials are in place, meeting production deadlines.

Utilise your expertise in Fanuc control systems to interpret technical drawings and specifications, programming, and adjusting machine settings for optimal production.

Complete 1st off inspection.

Report any faults found to the Production Manager.

Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and other team members to troubleshoot and optimise machining processes.

Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment, and perform minor repairs as needed as well as being able to maintain machinery by cleaning it and ensuring it is in working order at all times.

Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation at all times.

The Candidate

Proven experience as a CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator on sliding head machines with expertise in working with live tooling, multi-axis lathes, and Fanuc control.

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings.

Ability to run 1st offs and quality check your own work using various engineering measuring tools.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency.

Punctuality and reliable with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work within a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Expected Hours: No less than 40 per week Our standard working hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00 am 3:00 pm, and Friday 6:00 am 12:00 pm. Overtime is available.
