Role: CNC Turner Operator

Salary: 14.66 with paid breaks and a 25% shift allowance when working the late shift.

Located: Rotherham

Contract: 12 week temporary role

The role:

  • Work in the high-volume CNC section in accordance with the work to list on a rotating shift basis.
  • Liaising with the CNC machine setters,
  • Loading and unloading the machines,
  • Using bench slitters,
  • Counting, weighing and packing parts.
  • Conduct quality checks of work in progress using CMM systems to generate quality reports.

The successful candidate:

  • Previous experience in engineering production.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and interpret the information to produce a part.
  • Apprentice trained with relevant qualification is desired
  • GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above in Maths & English
  • Good organisational skills and time management skills, multitasking where appropriate to be effective, efficient & productive.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Work in an orderly and methodical manner with good discipline and housekeeping.
  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and works orders.
  • Have a high level of H&S, use of PPE where appropriate
