Software Architecture - Geospatial Data - GIS

Initially 3 months with program scope for 12+ months

Fully Remote (Mustbe based in UK)

We are proudly representing one of our key Consulting partners who are working on a number of high profile Government programs.

We are looking for a Technical Architect to join the team to lead a Geospatial Data project. You must have strong experience and knowledge in Geospatial data and/or GIS, and have strong Software Architecture skills ideally within Java or Python.

Experience we need:

Experience in leading the identification and analysis of IT system capabilities,developing models and system requirements.
Experience in leading the selection of technology and architecture approachesand advising stakeholders on these choices.
Experience architecting software solutions involving Java, Postgres, WebFeature Service (WFS), Python, HTML and Ruby
Strong skills and experience in Geographic Information Systems(GIS)/Geospatial data
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to lead and provide advice to a technical and non technical audience
Ability to collaborate and work with the wider client team, sharing best practicesand working within communities of practice
Ensure quality throughout, working closely with the test engineers anddevelopment team on approach
Strong report writing skills

We do not require SC Clearance for this role however you must be based in the UK and candidates with public sector/government project experience will be preferred.

VERY strong communication and customer facing / engagement skills are absolutely essential!
