Electrical Technician - Rotherham
- Earn 40,400 annually.
- The role operates on a 7-day rotawith working hours from 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 6am to 2pm on weekends.
- Opportunity for occasional overtime with a premium pay rate.
Role Overview:
An esteemed company in Rotherham is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their dynamic team. This role requires a dedicated professional with a robust understanding of electrical systems and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical testing and fault-finding.
- Perform minor electrical installations and prepare Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR).
- Maintain and repair LV Networks, Circuit Breakers, and Protection Equipment.
- Work with ac inverters and direct connected ac motors.
- Diagnose faults using Allen Bradley PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, cable schedules, and related documentation.
- Uphold excellent housekeeping standards.
- Work safely at height when required.
Skills and Experience:
- Recently completed and passed current IET regulations (2382).
- Apprentice trained, preferably with a HNC in Electrical Maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years in electrical inspection, maintenance, and repair work, ideally in a heavy industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of LV Networks, Circuit Breakers, and Protection Equipment.
- Proficiency in electrical testing methods and fault-finding.
- Familiarity with ac inverters, direct connected ac motors, Allen Bradley PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Methodical approach with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective decision-making and IT skills.
- Excellent verbal communication abilities.
- Current driving license.
- Confidence to work at height.
- Self-motivated and highly flexible.
- Ability to understand and apply safe working procedures.
