Position: Head of Decarbonisation and Energy Services
Salary: DOE plus car allowance, fuel card, bonus scheme
Role:
Responsible for overseeing the successful execution of decarbonisation projects, developing high-performing teams, and expanding our market presence, all while ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards. This is a key role for an individual who is committed to innovation, sustainability, and delivering long-term value.
Key responsibilities:
Take full accountability for the performance of decarbonisation projects, ensuring the delivery of profitable growth and alignment with the company’s objectives.
Work closely with Regional Operations Directors to implement systems and processes that drive successful decarbonisation and energy services initiatives across all regions.
Collaborate with Bid and Commercial teams to gather essential information for winning new contracts, actively contributing to tender processes.
Build and nurture high-performing teams capable of delivering decarbonisation projects, ensuring recruitment, induction, and performance management align with the company's values.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction while helping them transition to net-zero carbon assets.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant accreditations while managing risks to safeguard the company from financial or operational losses.
Regularly report on the financial and non-financial performance of decarbonisation projects, ensuring transparency and driving continuous improvement.
Work closely with department heads, ensuring alignment across all functions and contributing to the consistency and effectiveness of operations.
Lead by example in promoting a positive, results-driven culture, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across teams.
Skills:
Proven experience in a senior operational or commercial management role, ideally within decarbonisation or energy services.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
Advanced commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer focus.
Experience managing complex contracts and multi-regional teams, with the ability to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Full UK driving license is required.
Qualifications: Graduate or professional standard qualification.
CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management & Leadership.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pitman Excel Certification).
CSCS Manager/Professionally Qualified Person Card.
