Following the recent award of a multi-billion renewable energy project, a global leading consultancy seeks to employ a proven Project Controls professional who has experience of working on energy environment (Power & Renewables, HVDC, Energy & Power Generation, Offshore Cabling, Windfarms, Nuclear etc) In the role of Associate Director.

This is a leadership role so if you are passionate about managing and growing teams, being a technical expert in the project controls field, developing new opportunities with current / future clients or enjoy doing all three this would be the perfect role for you!

Th Associate Director will play a key role in the successful delivery of a multi-billion flagship renewable energy project that will have a positive impact on the environment and communities in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the Project Controls disciplines including Cost Estimating, Cost Engineering, Project Planning, and Scheduling.
  • Ensure quality and integrity of all project estimates, schedules, and cost deliverables.
  • Develop and support management processes and oversee all portfolio reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and report cash flow performance against capital projects utilising early warning systems.
  • Implement project controls systems and initiate corrective actions as required.
  • Produce monthly cost reports and accurate project schedules in coordination with team members.
  • Manage resources to ensure the efficient delivery of the scope of work within agreed timescales.
  • Develop recovery plans to correct adverse performance metrics.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Expertise in Project Controls disciplines - Cost Estimating, Project Scheduling, and Cost Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in a project portfolio environment.
  • Good understanding of third-party service provider contract terminology.
  • Proven track record of delivering strong business results.
  • Experience in industries such as Power & Renewables, HVDC, Energy & Power Generation, Offshore Cabling, Windfarm.
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Project Management.
  • Affiliation with a chartered body or recognised project management institution.
