Cedar are supporting a Procurement Consultancy who are looking to hire a Category Specialist to cover Construction and Facilities Management (FM). This role is a permanent opportunity and will operate on a home based agreement (with some potential travel involved for Team and/or Client meetings) and offers a salary range of 50,000 up to 65,000 per annum plus various perks (such as a bonus).

The focus of this role will be to support key clients the Procurement Consultancy engage in the UK Public Sector marketplace. You will be required to support end to end Procurements within the Construction and FM category, ensuring compliance with Public Sector Procurement Regulations (PCR2015) and with a focus on continually achieving Value for Money (VfM). This role will also support the training and development of junior Procurement resource within the business who will support you with client engagements.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards MCIPS status would be advantageous
  • experience/understanding of Public Sector Procurement
  • experience running complex procurement programmes in Construction and/or FM - experience setting up Frameworks would be beneficial
  • excellent stakeholder, team management and organisational skills
