Are you looking to gain experience in a secondary school environment? We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic team at a vibrant school in the Rotherham/Sheffield area, starting this September on a full-time basis.



Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of the school by covering lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You'll be responsible for managing the classroom, ensuring students remain focused on their work, and providing a supportive environment for learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in education or for graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a teaching qualification.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classroom behavior in the absence of the teacher
  • Ensure students are engaged with the lesson material and complete the tasks set by the absent teacher
  • Provide support where necessary and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Follow school policies and procedures, ensuring safeguarding and educational standards are upheld
  • Liaise with teaching staff and support staff as necessary
