Engineering Technician Cold End
Rotherham
Shift Pattern: Regular days Mon-Fri 7am-3pm.
Salary £40.818 per annum

Adept are working with a Rotherham based manufacturing company who are looking to add an Engineering Technician their Team.

We are seeking a motivated and professional individual, with a strong desire to achieve results while maintaining a commercial and customer-focused approach. They possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide an effective breakdown service, involving fault finding and repair of production and services equipment.
  • Provide an effective maintenance service, carrying out planned maintenance routines, inspection, adjustment, lubrication and safety inspections.
  • Comply with the company health and safety policies, procedures and standards at all times.
  • Carry out new equipment installation as required
  • Assist the cold end change team where required.
  • Complete daily engineering reports.
  • To ensure hygiene regulations and housekeeping standards are met and adhere to.
  • To practice Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), within factory areas.
  • Assist with sourcing spare part details and suppliers.
  • Assist with major breakdowns by way of call out when required.
  • Any other duties as requested within skill set.


PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge/Skills

  • Good problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience within glass manufacturing or FMCG maintenance background (Desirable).
  • Experience in installing & programming inverter drives / VFD's
  • Good level of PLC knowledge and fault finding (Siemens S5, S7. Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley)
  • Good understanding / experience of pneumatically operated machinery.
  • Welding and machine shop skills (Desirable).
  • PC literate.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and delegate
  • Self-resilient and capable of making difficult decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have basic problem-solving ability

Qualifications/Training

  • Apprentice trained Engineer
  • Qualified to ONC/HNC standard or equivalent
  • Qualified to 18th Edition BS7671 Electrical Regulations. (Desirable)
  • Electrically based with strong mechanical skills & multi-disciplined maintenance experience.
