Responsibilities and duties
As the HDD Locator you will:
- Operate tracking and locating equipment, such as Digitrac and Falcon.
- Assist in setting up drilling equipment, mixing mud, and ensuring proper mud composition.
- Participate in tool changes, ensuring operational readiness and safety.
- Weld PE (polyethylene) pipes as needed, adding value as a multi-skilled team member.
- Perform accurate tracking and locating operations on-site, adjusting as necessary to fit project specifications.
- as needed, presenting a professional and client-facing approach.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols, conducting regular equipment checks, risk assessments, and following all safety regulations on-site.
- Any other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A valid driving license (HGV Class 1 or Class 2 preferred).
- Experience with HDD tracking and locating equipment (e.g., Digitrac, Falcon).
- Skills in handling PE welding, equipment setup, and basic maintenance.
- The physical fitness to manage on-site equipment and tooling changes.
Personal skills
