Salary; £58,396 per annum + benefits
Hours; Full time (37hrs per week, all year round)
Location; Cross College Role - Rotherham and Worksop
About the Role
As the Head of IT and Digital you will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of the IT and Digital Strategy which will contribute to the delivery of the Group's Strategic Plan.
You will have overall responsibility for the strategic development of Digital transformation across the Group, developing and implementing strategies to increase the use of digital technologies.
This role is critical to the organisation and you will lead the effective delivery of a highly responsive IT team which manages the infrastructure and systems which support both academic and business functions.
As part of the overall responsibility for driving digital development and innovation across the group, this will include responsibility of the implementation of the new Digital Learning Hubs.
You will also provide support to the Group's Strategic Leadership Team to ensure that IT and Digital strategies evolve in line with the College's ambitions.
As Head of IT and Digital you will ensure the Group's data is secured effectively and that robust systems and processes are in place related to cyber-security.
The role requires working closely with the Campus and Curriculum Managers and support staff to ensure the best possible use of IT and Digital Technology.

You will…
To be successful as our Head of IT and Digital you will need to have good leadership experience, including successful development, implementation and oversight of strategic plans within an IT role. You will have experience of managing large scale IT infrastructure as well as development of IT/Information security policies and procedures and associated projects. You will have an excellent knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage solutions and cloud-based technologies.
You will have the ability to set up, facilitate and lead training sessions for staff and learners and as part of this have experience of leading a digital strategy and how such technologies can be used to enhance learning and assessment within an FE environment. Ideally you will have knowledge of delivering blended learning to meet the needs of learners and understand the positive impact this can have for both staff and learners.
You will possess an IT (or related) degree and/or equivalent experience and knowledge as well as a leadership and management qualification at level 3 (or above). You will also have literacy and numeracy at level 2 (or equivalent) and ensure you have an up to date knowledge of current initiatives/issues/developments through ongoing Continuous Professional Development activities.
Department Info
You will report directly to the Executive Director of Corporate Services and Strategic Planning. You will be responsible for staff within the IT & Digital teams and work closely with the Directors of Campus and Curriculum Managers and will support staff to ensure the best possible use of IT and Digital Technologies across the Group.
