Mechanical Estimator Role:

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical services across a range of commercial, industrial, and public sector projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.



Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical services on various projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Review design specifications, technical drawings, and tender documents to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Preconstruction team to develop compelling bids and proposals that meet client needs.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather up-to-date pricing and cost information.
  • Ensure estimates comply with industry standards, regulations, and specific client requirements.
  • Analyze risks and opportunities in project bids to ensure profitable and successful project delivery.


Mechanical Estimator Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator, ideally within the building services or M&E sectors.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and services, including HVAC, plumbing, and industrial installations.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and industry-standard tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
