Manpower UK Print & Packaging Division are excited to bring some opportunities to market for Technical Machine Operators based on our clients Rotherham site. These full-time permanent opportunities are working for one of Europe's leading manufacturers of innovative and reliable packaging solutions for various industries. - There is a requirement to train in Poland for 2-4 weeks with these roles.
- 3 shifts; 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am.
- Salary attached to the role is 27,000.
Duties will include:
- Safe and efficient operation of the Aro machines by following the relevant, specified safe systems of work (SSOW). Start-up process must be performed so that the machine run is possible with as fewer rejects as possible and the highest stroke rate. During the set-up process, the machine operator must ensure first of are correct to required standards and reduce set-up times whilst reducing waste.
- Cost-efficient operation of the machine(s) with the aim of increasing utilisation and hourly output while maintaining the required quality within the specified limits.
- Reduction of rejects through the best possible machine settings, optimisation of process capabilities and following the controlled, approved procedures in place.
- Replenishing stocks of cartons, pallets, paper, bubble, labels, tapes, & other consumable supplies used in the production process whilst removing consumable waste; pallets, cardboard, paper reel cores, bubble general waste to the correct area, be that waste bin or other; Environmental compliance includes separating & disposing of the different waste streams, using the compactor and baler under compliance of relevant SSOWs.
- Recording in the production report with appropriate comments throughout the course of the shift. Precise input into SAP system to ensure maximum data integrity.
- Blocking and rejecting items that do not conform to the requirements of the specifications in compliance with valid work instructions &/or customer requirements and assigning them to the correct reject area in an appropriate manner.
- Implementing effective cleaning and maintenance in accordance with valid work instructions, (SSOW) and existing cleaning and maintenance schedules to retain best machine condition. Observing "order and tidiness" at the workplace.
- Assist on the other Machines when requested by the Production and under compliance of relevant SSOWs.
