Our client are graded GOOD by OFSTED, and is one of the biggest education providers in the North of England. They look after approximately 11,000 students across 5 campus each year. The education provider strives to create a friendly and progressive working environment and likes to support staff in continued professional development so that they can build skills to progress in their chosen careers.

The role:

My client are looking for an Occupational Health Practitioner to work within the Human Resources Team. Your role will be to promote and support the health and wellbeing of employees within the business, providing occupational health surveillance, health screening, and health promotion, advice and guidance.

Duties:

  • Support employees by carrying out pre-employment reviews for new starters
  • Ensuring that the workforce has appropriate support, if required, to be successful in their role
  • Working with HR, Managers, and employees to constantly review the health support and health promotion to the employees across the business
  • Offering advice, signposting and making suitable recommendations
  • Work closely with Health and Safety team to improve the provision of First Aid in addition to increasing the skills and confidence of the clients appointed first aiders

What you need:

  • Need experience working in a medical role and have held an Occupational Health position outside of a hospital environment
  • Hold a recognised Occupational Health qualification
  • Must hold a registration of a nurse or nurse practitioner
  • You must hold a level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English, or willing to work towards
