SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £83.33 - £110 per day

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a school in Rotherham.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students, helping them thrive in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Responsibilities of the SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Support students with SEMH needs in their learning and development.
- Work closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students.
- Help manage challenging behaviour in a constructive manner.
- Monitor and report on students' progress and behaviour.
Requirements for the SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- A commitment to promoting a positive learning environment.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or related fields.
- Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
