About Us:
Adept Resourcing Group is excited to be working alongside a rapidly growing chemical manufacturing company based in Rotherham. Together we are searching for an experienced HR Manager to join the team to provide both HR support and assit the finance team in running monthly payroll via SAGE.
The HR Manager will be joining the company at an exciting time as their international endeavours place them as a key player in the market attracting opportunities to expand both nationally and internationally.
Role Overview:
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all human resources activities for the company as well as running company payroll at the end of each month. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, manage payroll processing using SAGE, and provide essential HR support across the business. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of payroll systems and HR practices, with a focus on employee well-being and efficient payroll operations.
HR Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the payroll process using SAGE, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
  • Administer employee benefits, pensions, and other related compensation tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll and HR legislation, including tax and employment laws.
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide HR support, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and development.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external authorities such as HMRC and pension providers as necessary.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters.
  • Provide management with HR reports and payroll analysis.

HR Manager Skills and Qualifications:

  • CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) or equivalent HR qualifications.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing, with a strong working knowledge of SAGE software.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is advantageous but not essential.
