Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and experienced IT Officer to join our clients team on a temporary basis for 3-6 months. You will play a key role in providing IT support and training across the organisation, with a focus on maintaining and enhancing the Housing Management System (MIS ActiveH).

Key Responsibilities

  1. System Support and Training

    • Provide support for the Housing Management System (MIS ActiveH).
    • Deliver training on key systems to staff across the organisation.
  2. IT Support

    • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across multiple platforms, including operating systems (VMWare, Windows, iOS), Windows Server-based systems, and hardware.
    • Support remote working systems to ensure effective service delivery.
  3. End User Support

    • Work closely with the Head of IT & Projects to efficiently prioritise and resolve incidents.
    • Maintain a high standard of end-user support by being responsive and visible.
  4. Operational Analysis and Knowledge Sharing

    • Analyse operational needs and identify gaps in stakeholder and team training.
    • Contribute to the IT Service Desk knowledge base to ensure solutions are documented and reusable.
  5. System Administration and Security

    • Manage permissions and resource access using Active Directory.
    • Collaborate with the Managed Service Provider for efficient permission management.
    • Monitor and improve the Mobile Device Management platform.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in supporting Social Housing Management Systems (MIS ActiveH).
  • Proficiency in supporting Microsoft desktop technologies.
  • Familiarity with end-user computing devices and peripherals.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection legislation and best practices.
