The role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and lead various technology scheme designs from conception through to the completion of Preliminary Design. You will be instrumental in the renewal and improvement of legacy highways technology assets and the creation of cutting-edge innovations, off-grid renewables, and security infrastructure. Providing technical advice and governance in support of our clients and stakeholders is a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading, authoring and reviewing feasibility studies, options reports, preliminary designs, and technical queries for technology asset schemes
- Managing others, either as a line manager or project lead, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and high quality of output
- Engaging with clients and various design disciplines to define requirements and drive project completion
- Developing self and others through the creation, management, and utilisation of processes and procedures for work activities
- Providing regular project updates, including progress, spending, and risk mitigation
- Creating a range of technical documentation including drawings, BoQs, reports, business cases and risk registers
Job Requirements:
- Proven track record in ITS consultancy, design, and/or project management
- Strong knowledge of ITS, National Highways Technology Assets, Infrastructure, IoT, Telco, IP technologies, and their applications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in an engineering or science-related subject
