QHSE Team leader – Power Station

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a enthusiastic Health, Safety Environmental and Quality Team Leader to join a 40MW Biomass Power Station in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. As the HSEQ Team Leader, you will be responsible for promoting a safe work environment across the plant.
As the HSEQ Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Progressing and promoting comprehensive Health, Safety , Environmental and Quality management systems to implement safety for all employees.
- Monitor and promote HSEQ key performance indicators (KPI’s) to ensure the plant remains audit compliant.
- Using your knowledge of ISO9001, 14001 and 50001 to make sure industry criteria is met.
- Produce regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Create strong relationships with local environmental agencies and local stakeholders.
- Produce quarterly and annually environmental reports.
- Other duties as assigned
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A NEBOSH diploma or similar or proven experience in HSEQ management
- At least 3 years of experience in the waste management, energy from waste, power, or heavy process industry in a relevant role e.g. HSEQ Advisor, HSEQ Engineer, QHSE specialist etc
- Knowledge of CEMS and awareness of various ISO standards would be ideal – ISO9001, 14001 and 45001
- Good understanding of CDM regulations, permit to work and safe systems of work
- The ability to manage circa 50 contractors during plant shutdowns
