Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor Location: Rotherham Salary: 30,000 Shift Pattern: Day and Afternoon Shifts (Monday-Friday) Adept are working with a Rotherham based manufacturing company who are looking to add a Quality Control Supervisor to their warehousing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing, analysing, and evaluating test results. Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) assessments on decorated products.
  • Perform MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) and cross-hatching tests on decorated containers to ensure correct paint adhesion and durability.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and batch references for traceability.
  • Monitor and ensure correct levels of paint in production.
  • Conduct visual inspections of containers for quality assurance.
  • Operate automated packing machinery.
  • Perform light screen inspections and apply pallet labels accurately.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as required within the scope of the role.


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the glass industry (preferred but not essential).
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in conducting, interpreting, and reporting test results.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to structure reports for easy retrieval.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Willingness to work with other teams to agree on corrective and preventive action plans.


Person specification

  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (Grade C or above) preferred.
