- Conduct AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) assessments on decorated products.
- Perform MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) and cross-hatching tests on decorated containers to ensure correct paint adhesion and durability.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and batch references for traceability.
- Monitor and ensure correct levels of paint in production.
- Conduct visual inspections of containers for quality assurance.
- Operate automated packing machinery.
- Perform light screen inspections and apply pallet labels accurately.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required within the scope of the role.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of the glass industry (preferred but not essential).
- Competence in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in conducting, interpreting, and reporting test results.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to structure reports for easy retrieval.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Willingness to work with other teams to agree on corrective and preventive action plans.
Person specification
- GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (Grade C or above) preferred.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
