Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer who are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their site in Sheffield.
Salary: upto £38,511.72 inc shift allowance - depending on experience
Working hours: rotating days, nights and afternoons
Benefits:
- 33 days holiday
- Bonus paid 5 x a year (total maximum 5%)
- Pension – 7 employer, min 4% employee
- Overtime paid at hourly rate plus shift allowance (time and half for weekend and Saturday, double time for Sunday)
Our client is looking for a proactive, inquisitive Mechanical Fitter and enjoys getting stuck into their role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical systems and equipment.
Duties of the Mechanical Fitter will include:
- To carry out preventative maintenance on equipment as part of the PPM scheme
- To assist with project work and compliance
- To produce a daily report of work done, spares used, and follow up as required
- Fitting/ helping install new machinery when needed
- React quickly to breakdowns and prioritise workload
We would like to speak with Mechanical Fitters with the following skills:
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in an engineering field
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a similar environment
- Experience doing both preventative and reactive maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills
