- Perform MOT preparation, annual servicing, and breakdown repairs on-site vans.
- Maintain and repair HGVs, trailers, mobile cranes, forklifts, and specialized heavy industrial vehicles used in the steelmaking industry.
- Offer mechanical and basic electrical maintenance services, including fault-finding on mobile plant equipment.
- Qualifications: You should be BTEC, NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance.
- Safety-Conscious: Strong understanding of safe working procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Skills: Methodical approach to work, excellent fault-finding abilities, strong communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Independent Worker: Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, and deliver exceptional customer service in line with departmental objectives.
- License: A full, valid UK driving license is essential
- Knowledge of HGV regulations and MOT standards
