Position: CNC Maintenance Engineer
Location: Rotherham
Salary: 35-36K
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Day Shift - 07:00 to 16:00
Nicholas Associates have an opportunity for a CNC Maintenance Engineer to be based in Rotherham, with a leading manufacturing client.
The Role:
To carry out both responsive repairs and programmed maintenance and improvement work on a variety of appliances to ensure the smooth and continual running of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organising routine servicing schedules / PPM schedules for multiple machines
- Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate
- Research principles of machine operation to facilitate repairs
- Fitting new parts
- Carrying out quality inspections
- Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns
- Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed
- Making scheduled checks on machinery and parts
- Finding and fixing faults and recalibrating instruments
- Oiling and cleaning machinery and parts
- Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Ensure knowledge, compliance and adherence with all Company Policies, Procedures and Rules and Safety Legislation
- Read and understand the Occupational Health and Safety Policy Statement
- Work safely and responsibly
- Wear protective equipment provided in the correct manner
- Report any incident to your Manager that may or has led to injury
- Adhere to company procedures securing a safe workplace
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and accidents with the objective of introducing preventative measures
- Housekeeping - ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of your Department is maintained to a high standard at all times
Other Responsibilities:
To assist in any areas of the Company as required from time to time, to ensure the smooth running of the operation and to meet customer requirements.
You will have:
- Full exposure to maintenance, repairs and breakdowns within a metal fabrication / manufacturing environment
- Full exposure to industrial electrics (400v 3 phase)
- A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
- Skills in Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical and electrical essential
- Hands on approach to any issue raised in the factory
