Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a food manufacturer to recruit an Engineering Maintenance Planner & Services Engineer to join their facility in Rotherham.

Salary - £38,000-£40,000

Working hours – Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (hours can be flexible)

Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the Engineering Maintenance Planner will provide full engineering support whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and service to the site. 

Our client is looking for someone with an enthusiastic approach, is self-motivated, can identify opportunities for improvement without guidance, can work unsupervised and on their own initiative, challenges the status quo and is sensitive to the needs and demands of others.

Duties of the Engineering Maintenance Planner will include:

  • Manage and drive all aspects of Maintenance Planning and Contractor Control
  • Continuous improvement and Propose improvements to the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Management System
  • Ensure that the site is 100% compliant with all Statutory and Legal inspections and that all actions arising are closed out promptly
  • Manage the site Service Contracts
  • Identify any gaps in training and skills within the Engineering Team and co-ordinate training activity
  • Ensure that the Department is Audit ready at all times
  • Ensure that any Engineering actions arising from internal and external audits are captured and planned
  • Master the Maintenance Management tool (Maximo)
  • Responsible for receipting Purchase Orders in O Cloud.
  • Generates maintenance reports with GB Maintenance model KPIs
  • Act as the Engineering sustainability lead cover

We are keen to speak with Engineering Maintenance Planners with the following

  • Previous experience of previous/similar engineering roles
  • Previously experience of working in a FMCG environment, preferably in food manufacturing
  • Food hygiene knowledge and basic understanding of required principles and processes
  • Good knowledge of engineering parts and suppliers
  • Experience with operating ERP systems (ideally O Cloud).
  • Well-presented individual with demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills

This role would suit someone who works well work under pressure, can work to tight deadlines and has a flexible approach to hours of work as this role will entail working in Plant Shutdowns etc. There may also be a requirement to cover shifts in the event of Holiday / Sickness.
