Role: Engineering Manager
Location: Fully remote
Salary: Up to 100k
Do you enjoy managing a team? Taking responsibility for delivery or products? If so, read on as this could be the role for you.
The company are a growing organisation, the development team has doubled in size this year alone.
They all work fully remotely, so you will be used to managing a widespread team as well as offshore departments.
Scrum will be your middle name as you will be overseeing the delivery of the products from a software basis, and you will have had exposure to interacting with the product team. You will be assisting with defining and prioritising the product.
Delivery and analysis are key as you will produce road maps and guide the software team on ideas and processes within the role. They are a team which encourages each other to bring ideas to the table, and it will be your responsibility to determine whether this is the route that should be taken.
In a previous life, you may have been a developer who has taken the step into a managerial level and enjoys the leadership aspect of a role. You will be an excellent communicator and can make decisions and back these up. You will oversee the team's code reviews and ensure everything is kept to plan.
Being a team player is important, as you will be responsible for mentoring your team and developing junior members of staff, as well as one-to-one reviews. A positive mindset is key as this will be key to managing the team.
Key things that I am looking for:
