My client is seeking a reliable Contract Mechanical Design Engineer for a part-time role to assist in developing next-generation products.
The position is remote, available only to candidates in the UK, and offers flexible hours.
The contract is initially for 3 months, with a negotiable rate based on experience.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in 3D CAD design and a full R&D cycle from concept to manufacturing.
Strong experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for enclosures and injection molding is essential, along with the ability to liaise with stakeholders.

Contract Mechanical Design Engineer

My client is looking for a dependable consultant to join them on a part time basis (flexi hours) to support the development of their next generation products.

Overview:

Rate: Negotiable
Length: Initial 3 months
Location: Remote (UK only)
IR35 Status: Small company exemption
Hours: Part-time/flexi hours

Requirements:

3D CAD design
Full R&D cycle experience from concept and prototyping to manufacturing
Strong experience with DFM for enclosures and injection molding
Any CAD package is welcomed but own license is required
Confident liaising with stakeholders and good project organisation
Some travel to customer sites will be required
