Mechanical Design Engineer - South Yorkshire - up to 32,500 + Benefits - Ref 1881
I am currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work for a multi-national engineering organisation based in the South Yorkshire, however hybrid working is available. Salary up to 32,500 + Benefits.
This company are market leaders within their area of specialism and have their products distributed across the globe. Despite operating at the forefront of the market they serve having 100% UK market share, they do not lean back and rest on laurels and are continuously developing, both through internal innovation and by take-overs.
To support the growth of the business they now have the need to appoint another Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be the lead contact for mechanical aspects for all new and existing products, aiding in the improvement of process' and the products themselves. This will involve doing modifications to existing products to suit customer requirements as well as designing and modifying completely new products as they enter the next phase of NPI/NPD roadmap. You will also get hands on with the products and will be assembling prototypes and products to carry out any testing and development work.
Essential Requirements:
- Solidworks
- Experience in DFM (Ideally Sheet Metal)
Desirable Requirements:
- CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
- Experience designing consumer products
