A multi award-winning company is currently recruiting for an Injection Moulding Tool Maintenance Engineer (Toolmaker) to join their expanding team.


Reporting to the Technical Manager, the role involves the service preparation and operation of plastic injection mould tooling. This includes assisting and performing repairs, ensuring continuous improvement, and attending tool trials.

***Up to £40,000 + £3,600 shift allowance, 15% non-contributory pension, life assurance, private medical cover, health insurance, gym membership and a share purchase scheme***

As a Tool Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Maintenance (TPM) and repair of plastic injection mould tools
  • Preparation of tooling for production
  • Assisting with new mould introduction
  • Fault finding and identification of issues with moulds already in production
  • Assisting with and servicing tooling within the group

To be successful in the role of Tool Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be a time-served toolmaker with experience in a similar role and good knowledge of injection mould tooling
  • Have a good understanding of tool design
  • Have exposure / knowledge of condition setting
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of relevant CAD/CAM manufacturing processes
  • Be an effective problem solver, able to work collaboratively
