Position: Locum Dispensary Pharmacist, Band 6/Band 7

Availability: 3, 4, or 5 days per week (flexible)
Contract Type: Ongoing
Hourly Pay: Pharmacists with previous dispensary experience can be considered at Band 7 (£27 - £30 per hour). Applicants with community experience will be considered at Band 6 (£24 - £27 per hour)
About the Role:
Hunter AHP is currently looking for a dedicated and reliable Locum Dispensary Pharmacist to join the team at an NHS hospital in South London. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified pharmacist to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the dispensary and ensuring high-quality pharmacy services to patients. The hospital is looking for someone to start ASAP, with flexible working days (3, 4, or 5 days per week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing medication and ensuring the accurate supply of prescriptions
- Providing support and guidance to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medications
- Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and national standards
- Liaising with clinical teams to optimize patient care
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting the overall efficiency of the dispensary service
Requirements:
- GPhC registered Pharmacist
- Previous experience working in a hospital dispensary setting (NHS experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Immediate availability to start (ASAP)
