About the Role
We are seeking a highly experiencedService Management Tooling Procurement Specialistto lead the evaluation, selection, and procurement of CMDB and ITSM tools in a hybrid IT environment. This role is pivotal in supporting our digital transformation efforts by ensuring the right tools are identified and procured, ready for implementation.
As a key contributor, you will engage with stakeholders, define requirements, conduct market evaluations, and oversee the procurement lifecycle. This role is suited for someone with a strong technical background in service management and a proven track record of managing procurement in complex IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse business requirements for CMDB and ITSM tools.
- Develop detailed business cases, including licenses, training, and implementation support for service management tools.
- Conduct comprehensive market evaluations to identify and recommend suitable tools.
- Prepare full procurement documentation to facilitate the procurement process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure tools are procured and ready for installation.
Ideal CandidateExperience
- 15+ years in IT, with hands-on technical expertise in service management and associated tools across on-premises and AWS environments.
- Extensive experience supporting service management functions in private and public sectors, with a focus on hybrid estates.
- Expertise in the full procurement lifecycle for CMDB and ITSM tools.
- Deep technical knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow, SNOW, Flexera, and SolarWinds.
- Proven ability to lead discovery workshops and capture requirements from senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and consultative mindset to evaluate market options and develop business cases.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in Agile delivery tools (e.g., Atlassian Suite, Slack, Teams).
- Exceptional documentation skills for business cases and procurement documentation.
- Experienced in stakeholder management, governance reporting, and risk mitigation.
- Familiarity with integrating tools via APIs and managing cloud-based environments (especially AWS).
- Knowledge of digital transformation methodologies.
