- This is an exciting opportunity to join our Remote Operating Centre as a Process Control Engineer, in which you will work as part of an excellent team responsible for the safe and efficient operation and monitoring of our plants on a 24-hour basis using state of the art technology
- In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the secure and reliable network and computer infrastructure for the ROC
- You will be responsible for automating the collection and reporting of the alarm statistics for all our remote operations centre controlled plants
- As part of that, you will review and evaluate nuisance alarms and oversee the Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) process to reduce alarm count and improve operator interactions
- In addition, you will support the implementation of process control changes across various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-machine interface (HMI) types whilst making automatic control systems adjustments where required
- This role gives you the opportunity to make a real difference to our remote operations centre, as you get involved in projects to support the development and implementation of productivity improvements
- You have a digital mindset with a good level of IT skills and are familiar with Microsoft Windows operating system, PC configuration, virtualisation, and networking
- In addition, you have previous experience in a control room operation using SCADA control systems
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to influence others
- You have working experience of process controls, operations, commissioning, and projects as well as specific experience in process design, optimisation, automation and/or control loops and systems
- Furthermore, you have an understanding and experience of PLC programming and/or Advanced Controls
- And lastly, you have experience in working across projects using an analytical mindset and passion to solve problems and drive improvements
