As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for establishing the procurement function for our client. This is a ‘brownfield’ role, a great opportunity to use your knowledge and experience to develop a purchasing function - develop, improve & implement better practice procurement across the business.

Procurement Manager - Role and Responsibilities:

  • develop, improve & implement better practice / ‘fit for purpose’ procurement processes & procedures
  • ‘win hearts & minds’ - build strong internal stakeholder relationships so procurement becomes a trusted go-to business partner
  • identify & evaluate potential suppliers, creating supplier score cards to ensure they deliver against their KPIs - quality, cost, delivery, innovation, CI, financial stability etc
  • build supplier relationships to foster collaboration & innovation etc so the company becomes ‘customer of choice’.

Procurement Manager - Skills and Abilities:

  • proven track record in delivering a high quality procurement service
  • strong stakeholder relationship management
  • strong communication & negotiation skills & experience
  • proven experience working in an engineering / manufacturing environment
  • ideally CIPS qualified (Level 4+)
