Cedar are supporting a Public Sector client who are looking to hire a Head of Indirect Procurement. This is a permanent job opportunity with a salary of c90,000 per annum on offer plus a range of benefits which include a Car Allowance, Bonus plus other additional perks. This role will operate on a hybrid basis with the expectations to be on-site at one of the clients offices c2 days per week with offices in the Midlands, Yorkshire and North West of England.

This is an exciting, brand new role, within the organisational commercial function - the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of c20 individuals (with c7 direct reports) and will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of the organisations indirect category covering areas such as Corporate Services, ICT, Logistics and Outsourced Services. The successful candidate will be required to develop and executive category strategies to ensure compliance, performance and value is delivered to the Public Sector.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • Strong background operating in a senior Procurement, Commercial or Category Management role covering Indirect categories
  • Strong communication, leadership/team management and Stakeholder Management skills
  • Experience creating and implementing category strategies to deliver short, medium and long term objectives
  • Experience working with an organisation on a national and/or international level would be advantageous
