CETO Talent are working with a specialist for intelligent drive technology and systems as well as tailor-made services to find a sales Manager. With its innovative and smart products, our client offers high efficiency and reliability to customers from highly diverse industries such as oil and gas, energy, mining and mechanical engineering, ship technology, rail, and commercial vehicles.

Our client is based in South London and supports customers in these diverse sectors for the UK and Ireland markets. As well as developing new build solutions with OEMs, this client offers full aftermarket support to their customers by way of spare parts supply as well as repair and overhaul services at their local workshop or at the customer location via our highly skilled workshop and field service workforce.

The position being recruited for is a Sales Manager, Rail/Marine on a permanent full-time contract, this Is apermanent homeworker.

Core responsibilities.

  • Develop sales and marketing of service packages and spare parts in UK.
  • Work within the team to formulate, drive, and manage the development and execution of the rail and marine Sales Strategy to attract and expand new and existing business.
  • Maintain and build strategic alliances with key end users - OEMs, ROSCOs, TOCs and Service Providers
  • Review and prepare quotations, tenders, and commercial enquiries to secure a sustainable growth in sales.
  • Provide technical support to new and existing customers.
  • Prepare and participate in presentations to customers and at exhibitions.
  • Review and report on market requirements and development.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK rail industry.
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical rail components; electrical systems knowledge would also be an advantage.
  • Good experience of key account manages and/or business development.
  • Proven personal organizational skills and project/bid planning skills.
  • Developed clients contacts in the rail industry.
  • Able to create a healthy pipeline and deliver sales orders.
  • Able to prepare commercial offers with the support of the organization, engineering, procurement, etc.
  • Good grasp of commercial and contract negotiation.
  • Able to work on his/her own and contribute the team goals.

Professional Experience & Education

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent such as HNC
  • Proven experience of proactive approach to produce new business opportunities.
  • Experience in Sales in the UK rail sector is essential. Marine industry experience would be beneficial.
  • Strong contacts in the UK rail industry
  • Able to produce Sales KPIs
  • Good presentation skills Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
