Hire and Leasing Manager - Automotive

Our client is recruiting for a Hire and Leasing Manager for its business in the Rotherham Area.
The business has grown exponentially over the last few years and this is another new position designed to cope with this growth and continue it.
We have placed multiple people in the business who are all still there and in the process of advancing their careers - so we can vouch for the client and ensure you stability and a great working atmosphere.
You must have experience in running a hiring and/or leasing team in the automotive sector, and be prepared to juggle different responsibilities whilst having the opportunity to put your own stamp on the role and eventually to hir your own staff and grow the department.
Role and Responsibilities of the Hire and Leading Manager:
- Working as part of the overall management team your role will be to develop, structure and grow a Hiring and Leasing operation in line with the company’s strategy to deliver the agreed objectives.
- You will conduct a full review of the existing systems, structures and models within the rental business, develop solutions where required to address any gaps, and create the structure which will allow the business to scale up to the desired size of fleet and profitability.
- You will work with the Managing Director and Financial Director to produce a robust, detailed and measurable business plan.
- You will manage the existing rental team, set work patterns, tasks and targets to ensure the delivery of our client's growth and development plans.
Your Duties as a Hire and Leasing Manager will include but are not limited to:
- Working with the Managing Director and management team in successfully delivering the agreed company strategy.
- Working with the Finance department to put in place appropriate systems and processes to ensure a high level of credit control and minimal bad debt.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports detailing the performance of the business and deliver them to the Managing Director, Financial Director and management team.
- Work with the Managing Director and Sales Manager in the procurement and timely delivery of vehicle stock achieving the best possible specification and discount terms.
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop a marketing strategy, build a database of customers to ensure we have a ready supply of customers for vehicles.
- Develop a robust rental return process to ensure all damage is captured and that the workshop has confirmed dates of vehicle returns. Work with the Sales Manager to minimise the time between de-fleet and the availability of the vehicle for sale.
- Ensure that all our customers, both external and internal receive the best possible service from the Rental Department.
- Ensure that all data is accurate and up to date, rental agreements and invoices raised correctly.
- Ensure all regulatory and legal standards are met, deliver a high level of Health & Safety compliance.
