## Role Overview

As the Facilities & Workplace Supervisor, you will oversee the efficient operation of the FTF site, ensuring that a wide range of services are delivered reliably and to high standards. This role is vital for maintaining the infrastructure that supports pioneering fusion energy research.

## Key Responsibilities

- **Facilities & Site Supervision:** Manage and supervise all facility services and contracts, including security, maintenance, cleaning, and waste management.
- **Operational Oversight:** Review service requirements to maximize efficiency and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Act as a key contact for FTF, building relationships with various stakeholders, including the Senior Building Services Engineer and Safety Compliance teams.
- **Project Management:** Supervise small to medium-scale projects, from identification through to successful completion.
- **Performance Management:** Ensure high standards of performance from FM contractors, overseeing contract negotiations and reviews.
- **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
- **Incident Reporting:** Oversee incident supervision and reporting for the office aspects of the site.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

**Essential:**

- Relevant qualification (e.g., HNC) in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field.
- Health & Safety knowledge (NEBOSH or IOSH).
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Proactive approach to safety and a good understanding of UK construction and office safety regulations.
- Demonstrable experience in working autonomously and collaboratively across teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Desirable:**

- Experience in Facilities Management planning and operations.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety.
- Knowledge of L8 (ACOP).
