We are currently seeking an experienced Outside Sales Professional to join our Business Development Team covering the Southern United Kingdom region.

Overview

The Business Development Manager will have a primary responsibility to manage account activities from identification to closure of sales opportunities. Also, the Business Development Manager will be responsible to maintain relationships with existing clients in support of the Operations Team in servicing existing clients, contracts, and opportunities to the Superheat FGH standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for making the client aware of Superheat’s value propositions.
  • Responsible for advancing underdeveloped accounts into next sales stage.
  • Formalising account objectives and strategies with Sales and Regional Leadership.
  • Maintain and manage accurate, up-to-date sales related activities in the CRM.
  • Responsible for relationship building of new clients at various levels and with multiple functions.
  • Work to achieving a sales target in the assigned focus areas and geographies.
  • Support the sales cycle including identifying opportunities, leads management, client education, presentations and deliver proposals and close deals.
  • Interact effectively with other departments including: Area Managers, estimating, contracts administration and technical teams.
  • Identify Superheat’s competitive advantage opportunities and work with Sales Leadership, Regional Management and estimating on bidding and closure strategies.
  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets for assigned customers.
  • Responsible for closing out quotes won/lost/cancelled.
  • Responsible for setting up and supporting client appointments and job walks.
  • Support nationwide tradeshows and customer sponsored events.
  • Assist all departments to ensure accounts are paid within agreed terms.
  • Willingness to carry out product/service demonstrations across the UK & Ireland. alongside National Business Development Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Excellent sales skills and the ability to establish credibility and rapport at multiple levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills with proven track record of developing new markets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of CRM.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong technical knowledge is favourable in the world of gas, oil, power and heavy engineering.

Educational Requirements and Work Experience

  • Relevant qualification(s) in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience selling into large complex organizations such as Oil & Gas, Utilities, and major corporations at all levels.

Other Requirements

  • Extensive travel required; some weekend travel is possible.
  • Work location is remote across South Wales and Southern England.
