GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join a school in Rotherham. This position offers the opportunity to inspire and engage students in the fascinating world of chemistry while contributing to their overall academic success.

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that ignite students' curiosity and passion for science. You will create a dynamic learning environment that encourages critical thinking and fosters a deep understanding of chemistry concepts. Your role will include planning and executing engaging lessons, assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to help them excel.



Responsibilities of the Chemistry Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in chemistry to students of varying abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student learning and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to inform further learning and development.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and share best practices.

 

Requirements of the Cover Supervisor:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Chemistry at secondary school level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Experience in planning and delivering effective lessons and assessing student performance.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
