GSL Education are seeking a passionate and engaging English Teacher to join our team in Rotherham. This is a full-time role, perfect for an educator who can bring the English language to life, making reading, writing, and communication both accessible and enjoyable for students.

Duties of the Role:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to students of varying abilities.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning.
• Develop students' reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Support students in achieving their academic goals and building confidence in their abilities.
• Help students enjoy reading and thinking through fun discussions and activities. 
• Work with other teachers to create and share great lesson ideas.
•  Encourage students to express their ideas confidently in speaking and writing. 
• Provide extra support to students who need help with their learning.

Candidate Expectations:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a degree in English or a related field.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4, KS5 desirable).
• Strong subject knowledge of literature, grammar, and writing skills.
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage students.
• Passion for teaching and supporting student development.
• Adaptable and creative in delivering lessons to diverse learners.
• Strong communication skills for working with students, staff, and parents.

• A full and update CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
