Are you a passionate and experienced educator looking to lead and inspire in the field of Modern Foreign Languages? Our education recruitment agency is seeking an exceptional Head of Languages to join a dynamic team in Rotherham secondary schools. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to shape language learning and drive student success across a variety of key stages.

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the Modern Foreign Languages department
• Develop and deliver a high-quality languages curriculum, ensuring excellent teaching and learning outcomes across French, Spanish, and other languages
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of language teachers, promoting professional development and best practices
• Foster a culture of academic excellence, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged
• Oversee departmental planning, assessment, and reporting to maintain consistent progress and achievement
• Ensure that teaching and learning are inclusive, innovative, and aligned with national standards
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other department heads to support whole-school initiatives

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong track record of teaching Modern Foreign Languages
• Previous leadership experience, ideally in a Head of Department or similar role
• Proven ability to inspire and lead a team, promoting a collaborative and forward-thinking environment
• A passion for language education and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Up-to-date knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and relevant teaching standards
