Are you a passionate History teacher looking for your next full-time opportunity? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a thriving secondary school in Rotherham, seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History teacher to join their team from September.
About the Role: As a History teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and informative lessons that inspire students and foster a love for history. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality history lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the needs of all students
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Engage with parents, carers, and colleagues to support the holistic development of students
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities, contributing to the vibrant school community
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a relevant degree and a UK-recognized teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS)
- Have experience teaching History at secondary school level, ideally up to GCSE
- Be passionate about history and committed to inspiring students to achieve their best
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and a positive, student-centered approach
- Be proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to the wider school community
