Learning Support Assistant

The School and Role

Vision for education is seeking a Classroom Support Assistant to work with pupils between the ages of 3 – 18 years old within an Ofsted rated ‘Excellent’ SEND provision based in Rotherham. The role requires a passionate, caring, and enthusiastic individual to support vulnerable young students who have special education needs. The successful applicant will have had previous experience in dealing with Challenging Behaviours, autism, and moderate learning difficulties. This can be a very rewarding role for somebody who wants to make a positive impact on a young adult’s life. You would work alongside the class teacher with day-to-day actives working within a group setting as well as on a 1:1 basis with student learners.

Requirements

The desired Learning Support Assistant will have:

  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable children or adults.
  • Be able to adapt to challenging situations that can arise.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience working with challenging Behaviours.
  • Access to a car or public transport routes.
