Behaviour Mentor

Location: Rotherham
Salary: £83.33 - £110 per day

Are you passionate about supporting young people? Do you have the skills to help students overcome challenges and succeed? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a school in Rotherham.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour and supporting students with their social and emotional needs. Your work will make a real difference in their lives, helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support.
  • Build strong relationships with students to foster trust and motivation.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development.

Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
