Contract:Â Â Â Â Â 6 months with the possibility of an extension/ permanent position
Rate:         £18 – 21 per hour (dependant on experience)

Hours:        35 hours – condensed across 4 days (2 days 9 – 5pm and 2 days 9 – 8pm)
Our client has a new, exciting opportunity within the organisation to join their domestic abuse team to deliver specialist perpetrator interventions across South Yorkshire.
You will be carrying out initial suitability assessments, securing engagement from perpetrators and facilitating Behavioural change programmes for those who have perpetrated/ are perpetrating abusive behaviours in their relationships.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering a 24-week group programme that aims to address men perpetrating abusive behaviours towards intimate partners.
In addition to this intensive group programme, you will also deliver a more nuanced 1-2-1 intervention programme for perpetrators who fall outside of their standard criteria.
The post holder will promote awareness and understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours. They will work closely with the attached and wider victim support services to review risk, develop safety plans and improve outcomes for all parties involved.
The post holder will also work with communities and professionals to raise awareness of domestic abuse, attend various multi-agency meetings (including MARAC, MATAC and MAPPA), challenge the attitudes and beliefs which enable it to continue, and offer effective interventions to relevant individuals.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of facilitating groups – in any setting
- Understanding of domestic abuse and the impact of abuse
- Experience of working with vulnerable clients/ perpetrators/ offenders including experience within Domestic Abuse services, Probation, The Police, Prisons, Substance Misue, Mental Health, Supported Housing, Exploitation and Adult/ Children’s Services
- Experience in working within a public protection/ safeguarding multi-agency setting, e.g. Child protection, vulnerable adults, MARAC, MAPPA, MATAC etc.
- Experience in managing safeguarding issues and strong risk management skills
- Driver essential and must have access to a car
