The Opportunity:
Consulting as a Software Developer on a major central government project to provide the required services to develop robust data pipelines, analytics and visualisation tools that will support the integration of multiple infrastructure datasets across various sectors.
These services will contribute to the creation of solutions that align with the principles of digital twins, which are virtual models connected to their real-world counterparts by a two-way flow of real-time data where the primary challenge is to consolidate these sources into one cohesive framework.
Skills and Experience:
- Angular/React: Proficient in using Angular or React frameworks for building dynamic user interfaces.
- TypeScript: Strong experience with TypeScript for developing scalable and maintainable JavaScript applications.
- Node.js: Expertise in Node.js for server-side development.
- Data Visualisation: Skilled in presenting data effectively through web user interfaces, including experience of visualising GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data.
- Responsive Design: Proven ability to create responsive and mobile-friendly web designs that provide an optimal user experience across various devices.
- RESTful APIs: Experience designing, consuming, and integrating RESTful APIs to enable communication between frontend and backend services.
- Unit Testing: Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha or Jasmine for writing and executing unit tests.
- GOV-UK Design System: Familiarity with working with the GOV-UK Design System to create consistent and accessible user interfaces.
- Standards Compliance: Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices to ensure applications are accessible to all users.
