Are you currently working in a Social Care/Residential Care setting and looking for a change of scene?
Unique School Solutions work with a number of Special Needs schools and alternative provisions throughout South Yorkshire, and are looking to register candidates from the Social Care and Residential Care sector who have experience working with adults/young people, and are interested in working in a school setting with 5-11 year olds.
We support schools with a range of different roles including Teaching Assistants and Pastoral Staff, where you may be working either on a 1:1 basis with a child or supporting a small group of students who either have Special Educational Needs or are classed as vulnerable/disengaged. Roles can also include liasing with parents or carers, and attending meetings such as Children In Need or Looked After Children meetings.
Please be aware that as these roles are in a school, you will work 37 hours a week, term time only (39 weeks).
In order to register for work with us, you
- must have experience working with adults or young people within the last 2 years
- have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs such as Autism, Social Emotional Mental Health, Behavioural Emotional and Social Difficulties
- must have an enhanced DBS with adult and child checks
