Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with a Specialist School in Rotherham, who are looking to appoint a SEMH TEACHER. This is a full-time vacancy, seeking an outstanding candidate to join the school on their journey of growth. The successful candidate can expect to work in a challenging and thriving environment. Pay rate - 185 - 250 per day

The job

  • The school is looking for someone who is passionate and able to provide the very best opportunity for students across the school.
  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), Mainly SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health)
  • Support students' educational and emotional development.
  • Adapt lessons to cater to varying abilities, ensuring each student reaches their full potential.
  • Build positive relationships with both students and staff.
  • Provide support to the primary staff in the planning and delivery of the curriculum to improve subject knowledge.
  • Deliver qualifications which are best suited to the learner's ability to ensure the best outcomes are met for the learners.

The successful candidate will

  • Hold a teaching qualification.
  • Hold a degree or equivalent.
  • Have outstanding teaching practice.
  • Have excellent behaviour management.
  • Have experience of lesson observations and giving robust feedback.
  • Have experience of improvement planning.
  • Have experience of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success.
  • Contribution to impact on the quality of learning and teaching and curriculum.
  • Have experience of high-quality pupil tracking and feedback practices.
