We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech & Language Therapist to join our outstanding team at a leading independent specialist day school in Rotherham. Our school has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted since its inception, and we pride ourselves on providing high-quality education for boys and girls with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of other associated conditions.

Role Overview: As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to change young lives and positively impact their future. You’ll benefit from supervision, a clinical development programme, and access to a 220+ strong team of multi-disciplinary clinical colleagues who will support you every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist speech and language therapy to pupils with SEMH needs and associated conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support pupils' communication needs.
  • Monitor and report on pupils' progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified professional with experience in a similar role or a transferable role within SEN.
  • Confidence and a proactive approach to go above and beyond for children with special needs.
  • Team Teach qualified is preferable.
  • Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Eligible for membership of BACP or a similar professional body (additional mental health or therapeutic intervention qualifications are desirable).
  • Well-versed in child development and skilled at connecting with young people.
  • Highly organised and ready to take the initiative.
  • Honesty and empathy are essential qualities.
